The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai has released IBPS Assistant Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. IBPS/2026-27/06. IBPS is inviting online applications for direct recruitment on a regular basis to three posts in its own office: Server Administrator Grade ‘D’, Assistant Grade ‘B’ and Programming Assistant Grade ‘B’. Post-wise Age Limit, Qualification and Experience
Age is calculated as on 01 October 2026. The date of birth in the Matriculation / Secondary certificate is the only one accepted.

For the Assistant post, the preferred disciplines include Science, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Applications, IT, Data Analytics and Business Administration. The required Excel skills include VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, nested formulas, Pivot Tables, data validation and conditional formatting. For Server Administrator, certification on the listed areas carries weightage, and for Programming Assistant, experience in FORTRAN or Python is an added advantage. Experience must be gained after completing the required qualification.

Selected candidates must execute a service bond of ₹1 lakh and serve IBPS for a minimum of 2 years from joining, or else pay ₹1 lakh to IBPS (the bond period may extend by loss-of-pay days). IBPS does not provide housing, and primary preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Mumbai, though candidates committed to relocating are welcome.
Application Fee
The application fee / intimation charges are ₹250 for each candidate, payable online only from 29 October to 12 November 2026. Bank transaction charges are borne by the candidate. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application and fee for each post.

The test is in English. There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates who clear the online exam will face a personal interview the same day or the next day.

- Click “Click here for New Registration” and enter your basic details. Note the provisional registration number and password.
- Upload your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, hand-written declaration, brief resume (PDF), 10th certificate and documents for age, qualification and experience.
- Check every field using “Save and Next” – no change is allowed after “Complete Registration”.
- Pay the ₹250 fee online through debit / credit card, net banking, IMPS, wallet or UPI.
- Download the e-receipt and print the online application form for future reference.
