SSC CPO Exam Date 2026 has been revised. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a corrigendum dated 26 October 2026 for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026 (popularly called SSC CPO). The Computer Based Examination (Paper-I) will now be held from 23 to 28 November 2026. Earlier, SSC’s notice dated 01.10.2026 had given the dates as 20 to 28 November 2026.
The same corrigendum also revises the SSC JE 2026 Paper-I dates to 2–6 November and 30 November–1 December 2026. The SSC CPO 2026 admit card has not been released yet. As per the official notice, admission certificates are issued online only on the SSC website, and exam city/centre details are uploaded about 10 days before the exam. Force-wise SI (GD) posts: CRPF 254, BSF 457, ITBP 187, CISF 250 and SSB 172. All posts carry pay Level-6 (₹35,400–₹1,12,400).
Eligibility and Age Limit (for reference)
- SI in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs: Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
- SI (Fire) in CISF: B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or Matriculation plus a three-year diploma in specified engineering branches (see Para 7.2 of the notice).
- Age as on 01.08.2026: 20–25 years (born 02.08.2001 to 01.08.2006) for all posts except SI (Fire); 18–30 years (born 02.08.1996 to 01.08.2008) for SI (Fire).
- Upper age relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deducting military service.
- Fee was ₹100; women, SC, ST and eligible Ex-Servicemen were exempted. The application window has closed.
SSC CPO 2026 Exam Pattern
The exam has Paper-I, PST/PET, Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All stages are mandatory.

- Paper-I duration: 1 hour, with a sectional timer of 15 minutes for each part.
- Negative marking: 0.25 mark per wrong answer in Paper-I and 0.50 mark in Paper-II.
- Questions in Parts I, II and III are set in Hindi and English.
- PST/PET is qualifying only. Ex-Servicemen do not need to take the PET.
How to Download SSC CPO Admit Card 2026 (when released)
- Visit the official website ssc.gov.in and check the Notice Board for the admit card notice.
- Click Login and sign in with your registered login credentials (Registration Number/ID and password).
- Open the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2026 section.
- Check your exam city/centre, date and shift, and download the Admission Certificate.
- Print the admit card and carry it with a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
SSC says admit cards will not be sent by post. If you do not find your details on the website one week before the exam, contact the concerned SSC Regional Office.
