The e-call letter link was listed on the official RRB website on 23 October 2026, and the CBT-I is scheduled on 27 and 28 October 2026.

Eligibility, Age and Fee (Quick Recap)
- Qualification: Post-wise, as per Annexure-A of the CEN. JE posts need a three-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (B.E./B.Tech in the same discipline is also accepted). DMS needs a three-year diploma in any engineering discipline. CMA needs a B.Sc. with Physics and Chemistry with at least 45% marks (as per the corrigendum).
- Age: 18 to 33 years as on 01.01.2027. Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (NCL). PwBD get 10/13/15 years (UR-EWS/OBC/SC-ST). Ex-servicemen and Railway staff get relaxation as per the CEN.
- Fee (already paid during application): ₹500 for general candidates, of which ₹400 is refunded after appearing in CBT-I. The fee is ₹250 for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority and EBC candidates, refunded in full after appearing in CBT-I. Bank charges are deducted from refunds.

- Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe).
- Negative marking: 1/3 of the marks for each wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying marks: UR 40%, EWS 40%, OBC (NCL) 30%, SC 30%, ST 25%. These may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates if there is a shortage.
- CBT-I is a screening test. Candidates are shortlisted for CBT-II (150 questions, 120 minutes) up to 15 times the community-wise vacancies of each RRB, based on normalised marks.
How to Download RRB JE Admit Card 2026
- Visit the official website of your RRB, for example rrb.indianrailways.gov.in.
- Under CEN 04/2026, open the link “Link to download e-call letter for 1st stage CBT for various posts of JE/DMS/CMA”. You can also use the official direct link in the table below.
- Enter your Registration Number and your Date of Birth (used as the password), then fill in the captcha.
- Log in and download the e-call letter. Check your name, photo, exam date, shift, reporting time and venue.
- Take a clear printout. SC/ST candidates who opted for free travel will find the travel authority with the e-call letter.
As per the CEN, e-call letters open about 4 days before the exam date, and exam city intimation about 10 days before. If you forgot your registration number, you can retrieve it at www.rrbapply.gov.in using your login credentials, or check your registered email.
Documents and Instructions for Exam Day
- Bring the printed e-call letter and a valid original photo ID, for example an Aadhaar/e-Aadhaar printout, voter ID, driving licence, PAN card or passport.
- Bring a colour passport photograph taken not more than two months before the CBT date.
- Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done before entry. Bring your original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar, and keep your Aadhaar unlocked in the UIDAI system.
- Your Aadhaar should show the correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), latest photograph, biometrics, address and father’s name.
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, calculators and other electronic gadgets are not allowed. Possessing them leads to cancellation of candidature.
- Write the self-declaration paragraph and sign it only inside the exam hall, in front of the invigilator.
