On 15 October 2026 it posted the “Result Status of Online Preliminary Examination for CRP-SPL-XVI” on its official Specialist Officers XVI page. CRP SPL-XVI recruits Specialist Officers (Scale I) for the vacancies of 2027-28 in 11 participating public sector banks.

Eligibility, Age and Pay (Recap)
- Age: 20 to 30 years as on 01.07.2026 (born not earlier than 02.07.1996 and not later than 01.07.2006). Upper age relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC (NCL) 3 years, PwBD 10 years, and 5 years for eligible Ex-Servicemen/ECOs/SSCOs.
- Qualification: Post-specific degree (for example, a 4-year Engineering degree in CS/IT/Electronics for IT Officer, an LL.B with Bar Council enrolment for Law Officer, or a 2-year full-time MBA/PG in Marketing for Marketing Officer). The result had to be declared on or before 21.07.2026.
- Application fee (already paid): ₹850 for others, ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD (inclusive of GST).
- Pay: Scale I basic ₹48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920, plus allowances as per bank rules.

IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer:

Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari: General Awareness with special reference to the Banking Industry (30 marks, 20 min) replaces Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge (Objective) gets 45 minutes. For Rajbhasha Adhikari, the descriptive paper is Professional Knowledge (English and Hindi). In the Main exam, all tests except Professional Knowledge are qualifying, and merit is based on the Professional Knowledge score. A wrong answer in the objective tests costs one-fourth (0.25) of that question’s marks.
Interview and Final Selection
- Candidates shortlisted in the Main exam will be called for a common interview, held by the participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Banks.
- The interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying mark is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
- The Main exam and interview are weighted 80:20 for the final score.
- Provisional allotment to banks is on a merit-cum-preference basis, using the actual vacancies reported by the banks.
How to Check IBPS SO Prelims Result 2026
- Go to the official page ibps.in → CRP Specialist Officers → Specialist Officers XVI.
- Click on “Result Status of Online Preliminary Examination for CRP-SPL-XVI” (posted 15 Oct 2026).
- On the result status page, enter the login details asked for (your CRP SPL-XVI registration credentials) and the captcha, if shown.
- Your qualifying status will appear on screen. Save or print it.
- If the page shows a waiting message or is slow, try again later. Use only the official IBPS website.
Important Instructions for the Main Exam
- Keep your authenticated/stamped Prelims call letter and the stamped photocopy of your photo ID safe. The notification says candidates who do not bring them to the Main exam will not be allowed to appear.
- Bring one extra photograph (the same as the one pasted on the call letter), along with the Main exam call letter and an original photo ID.
- Download the Main exam call letter and information handout from ibps.in when they are released.
