The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the SBI PO Mains Result 2026 for the recruitment of Probationary Officers under Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09. The result PDF, signed on 14.10.2026, lists the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for Phase-III (Psychometric Test). The Main Examination was held on 12 September 2026.

SBI PO 2026 Vacancy Details
The advertisement notifies 1,500 Probationary Officer vacancies (1,446 regular + 54 backlog). SBI says the vacancies are provisional and may change based on the Bank’s actual requirement.

The PwBD (horizontal) vacancies are VI 15, HI 16, LD 14 and d & e 16 (regular + backlog). The result PDF has 4,367 roll numbers (our count). That fits the rule in the advertisement that up to about 3 times the category-wise vacancies are shortlisted for Phase-III.
Eligibility Recap (for Reference)
- Age: 21 to 30 years as on 01.04.2026 (born not later than 01.04.2005 and not earlier than 02.04.1996). Upper age relaxation: OBC (NCL) 3 years, SC/ST 5 years, PwBD 10/13/15 years (UR-EWS/OBC/SC-ST).
- Qualification: Graduation in any discipline (or equivalent recognised by the Central Government). Final-year candidates had to show proof of passing on or before 30.09.2026 if called for interview.
- Application fee (already paid): ₹750 for UR/EWS/OBC; Nil for SC/ST/PwBD.
What Is Phase-III of SBI PO 2026?
Phase-III has three parts: a Psychometric Test, a Group Exercise and a Personal Interview. As per the advertisement, the psychometric test is used for personality profiling, and its findings are placed before the interview panel. It may be held in proctored mode or at identified exam centres, as the Bank decides. All questions in the psychometric test are mandatory.

How the Final Merit List Is Prepared
Candidates must qualify in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. Main Exam marks (Objective + Descriptive, out of 230) and Group Exercise & Interview marks (out of 50) are normalised to 100. Prelims marks are not counted in the final merit list.

How to Check SBI PO Mains Result 2026
- Visit the official SBI careers page sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings (sbi.co.in now redirects to sbi.bank.in).
- Open the section “Recruitment of Probationary Officers – Advertisement No: CRPD/PO/2026-27/09”.
- Click on “Main Examination Result”. A PDF of roll numbers will open.
- Press Ctrl + F (or use “Find” on mobile) and type your 10-digit roll number.
- If your roll number appears, you are shortlisted for Phase-III. Save the PDF for your records.

SBI’s result PDF says further details will be sent to shortlisted candidates by SMS / e-mail. The result is subject to the candidate meeting the eligibility conditions in the advertisement and to the correctness of the details given at registration.
Tips for Shortlisted Candidates
- Keep your registration number, password and registered mobile/e-mail active – call letters and updates come through them.
- Arrange your documents early: ID proof, graduation mark sheets/certificate, and category certificates (OBC-NCL certificate issued from 01.04.2026, EWS Income & Asset certificate for FY 2025-26, PwBD certificate) as listed in the advertisement.
- Practise group discussions and mock interviews on banking, economy and current affairs.
- Selected candidates must sign a ₹2 lakh bond to serve the Bank for at least three years. Probation may be for two years.
SBI PO Salary 2026
As per the advertisement, the starting basic pay is ₹48,480 (plus 4 advance increments) in the JMGS-I scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920, along with DA, HRA, CCA, PF, NPS, LFC, medical and other benefits. SBI puts the approximate CTC at the initial pay at the Mumbai centre at ₹21.97 lakh.
