🇮🇳🇷🇺 2. India–Russia Target $100 Billion Bilateral Trade by 2030
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal called for accelerating the India–Russia economic partnership.
The two countries are targeting:
$100 billion bilateral trade by 2030
They are also aiming for:
$50 billion in two-way investment by 2030
The current bilateral trade base was described as around $60 billion, meaning roughly another $40 billion of annual trade needs to be added to reach the target.
India is looking to expand exports to Russia in areas such as:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Auto components
- Engineering goods
- Chemicals
- Textiles
- Food products
- Marine products
- Tractors and agricultural products
India and Russia are also working towards strengthening investment and connectivity through projects such as the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and the Chennai–Vladivostok maritime corridor.

🐟 3. PM Matsya Sampada Yojana Completes Six Years

🗺️ 4. DILRMP 3.0 Launched for Modernisation of Land Records
The Government launched the operational framework for the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) 3.0.

It aims to move India’s land-record system beyond simple digitisation towards a more integrated and GIS-enabled digital land ecosystem.
The expected financial outlay is:
₹565.50 crore
The programme is being implemented by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Ministry of Rural Development.

🛒 5. E-Commerce Rules Amended to Strengthen Consumer Protection
The Government amended the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 through the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) (Amendment) Rules, 2026.
The amended rules will come into force from:
1 January 2027
The changes focus on improving transparency in online marketplaces.
Major Changes
E-commerce platforms will have to address issues related to:
- Consumer complaints
- Search-result manipulation
- Sponsored listings
- Price reductions
- Dark patterns
- Seller disclosures
- Product information
- Imported goods
- Consumer-data consent
- Bundled fees
Sponsored listings must be clearly identified.
When a price reduction is announced, platforms must show both the reduced price and the prior price, with the prior price based on the lowest price during the preceding 30 days.
E-commerce entities will also have to integrate with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).

17,71,622 grievances
Of these, 5,11,196, or around 29%, were related to e-commerce.

🌐 6. Amended BharatNet Programme Gets ₹1,684 Crore for Jharkhand

- BSNL
- Jharkhand Communication Network Limited
The Government has approved:
₹1,684 crore
for the Amended BharatNet Programme in Jharkhand.
The programme will cover:
4,395 Gram Panchayats
and provide on-demand connectivity to:
26,777 villages
The project is expected to facilitate more than four lakh rural home fibre connections.
